Cirillo JR shifts his sound and turns up the pressure on ‘LEGEND’

Cirillo JR started in the clubs of the Adriatic coast, and “LEGEND,” is the clearest sign yet of where more than a decade of touring has taken his sound. Born Ugo Antonio Cirillo in San Giovanni Rotondo and now based in Rimini, the Italian DJ and producer has played Ministry of Sound in London, Space Hong Kong and Muin in Bangkok. He has also played Ultra Europe in Split, Croatia in 2025 and 2026. His catalog runs from mainstage EDM and house to techno, with releases on Virgin Music/Universal, Smash The House, Black Hole Recordings and Sony Music Italy, and support from David Guetta, Nicky Romero, Timmy Trumpet and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

“LEGEND” sits where techno meets festival-scale electronic music. It’s dark, relentless and built for physical impact, with a pounding groove, a heavy low end and hypnotic synths that build a tense, futuristic mood. Cirillo JR doesn’t overload the production. He builds the record around rhythm, pressure and release, so the explosive drop does what the title promises on a club or festival system.

It follows a run of faster, harder 2026 releases, including “Dance All Night” with Diego Miranda, “Glow” on CLUBWRK and the 150 BPM electro-house track “La La La.” After a decade of moving between scenes, countries and genres, “LEGEND” doesn’t sound like an artist starting over. It sounds like Cirillo JR taking what he learned on those stages and turning the intensity up.
